Applications are now open for the Kent Community Waste Prevention Fund, a new grant programme designed to support community-led projects that reduce household waste and promote reuse, repair and prevention activities across Kent.

Community groups, residents' associations, charities, Community Interest Companies (CICs), social enterprises, parish and town councils can apply for grants ranging from £500 to £5,000. Projects may focus on a range of household waste streams, including food, textiles, electrical items and general waste.

The fund is supported by the Kent Resource Partnership and Kent County Council, with successful applicants also able to access fully funded environmental sustainability training through the Low Carbon Kent Training Centre.
